Aunt Joyce was my rock in many ways during my entire life. She was my second Mom. She always made me feel like one of her own. She and my uncle opened their home to me even with four of their own children. A gift I will never forget. In childhood, Aunt Joyce would always comfort me showing me a special kind of love. In adolescence, she would always try and steer me in the right direction (not always as successful as she liked but gave it her best shot all the same.) And lastly, into adulthood where she was always there, either in person or by phone to lend an ear to share good and bad times but mostly our many laughs together, and boy could we laugh. I will miss those phone calls. We could talk for an hour and feel like it was only 5 minutes.
Godspeed Aunt Joyce! You will be deeply missed by all you loved so dearly.
