Obituary of George B. Trembley

George B. Trembley passed away peacefully in his sleep, on his 89th birthday, November 16, 2021 in Middletown, NJ. Born in Newark, NJ to parents George V. and Katherine Trembley. George grew up with brothers Bobby, Mickey and Thomas. The lifelong NJ resident married his wife Janet (nee Carroll) on June 1, 1957 and they were married for 39 years before she passed away in 1996. George was an auto mechanic for most of his career. He was a member of the United States Air Force serving in Germany during the Korean War. George had a passion for cars and basketball, even playing on the Air Force basketball team. He and his family resided in Newark, Atlantic Highlands, Tinton Falls and Middletown. George is survived by his brother Thomas Trembley and wife Nancy and their family in Union, NJ, his daughter Janet Hrbek, his grandson Michael Hrbek and his wife Erica of Atlantic Highlands, his son George and his wife Susan (nee Comey) and grandchildren Ben, Elizabeth and Joseph of Middletown. He is predeceased by his wife Janet Trembley (nee Carroll), and brothers Robert and Mickey Trembley.

Funeral Services are being handled by Posten-McGinley Funeral Home; 59 E. Lincoln Ave., Atlantic Highlands, NJ, 00716. Visitation will be on Friday, November 19th from 2-6pm. A chapel service will be conducted at 5:30pm. Burial will be private.
