Obituary of Mary Horniacek Franklin Masse

Mary Horniacek Franklin Masse, Highlands, age 82, died peacefully in her daughter's home surrounded by her family on March 13th. 

Mary was born and raised in Newark, NJ then later moved to Highlands. Mary was a private duty nurses aid and worked many years with Stouffers Nursing Registry. She got married in 1960 to John Franklin. They had 6 children together who resided in Highlands for many years. John had passed away in 1982, Mary did her best being a widow at the young age of 41. Mary later married Thomas Masse, who was also from Highlands. Mary was predeceased by both her husbands, her mother Kathleen Griffin, her father Stephen Horniacek, her sister Jane Bankes, Rose Ciccone, Joan Franklin, brother Stephen Horniacek, also her son Robert Franklin and his wife Christine Franklin, in which she missed and loved them all dearly. 

​She is survived by her children, John Franklin and wife Maryanne Franklin of Palm Harbor, FL, Daniel Franklin and his wife Cheryl of Brick, Teresa Pipicz, of Highlands, Patty O'Neil and her husband Wayne of Galloway, David Franklin and his wife Geri-anne Franklin,of Browns MIlls. 

She is also survived by her sister Kathleen Johnson and her husband Charlie, of Highlands, Julie Lutchko, of Eatontown, and her brother James Horniacek and wife Dawn, of Highlands, as well as sister in law Debbie Horniacek, of Long Branch.

​Mary enjoyed spending time with her family which included her 20 grandkids, 47 great grand kids, 3 more currently on the way, and 1 great-great grandkid.
