Sunshine's family and my family were very close. Robert and I were the best of friends and Sharon and Kelly along with my sister Barbara Ann were the same. Robert and I played and I mean we played stickball in the pan, basketball etc. Sunshine was like a mother toward me. She was also the best of friend's with my mother Florence. Sunshine and Robert inspired me to learn and play Baseball which my career began in the Inwood Little League. Sunshine always made you happy and wanted. She will never be forgotten. She has a Great Family! On behalf of the Patalano Family, we are blessed that we paid our final respects. I pray that she meets my mother in Heaven and both of them can dance the night away! Love you Sunshine! Jimmy

Dearest Sunshine, I will cherish the memories that I have of you from growing up on Ellwood Street and the visits to Leonardo, NJ in the summer months. The best memories that I have are the stories of your friendship with my parents. Standing up for them at their wedding was very special and of course the tap dancing lessons with Elmer Day. You were a good friend and a great Mom and grandmother. I will miss our occassional chats on the phone that always made me feel close to my Mom's spirit. I hope you are all together watching over us. Until we meet again. Forever in my heart. ❤

I have great memmories of summers at Atlantic Highlands with Aunt Pat. She always made you feel special no matter what happenrd. She took me to get my ears pierced and held my hand. She alwaya said the best time on the beach was when the sun was setting and drinking a beer. She did not become angry when my brother took her foam inserts for her bathing suit and placed them over his ears. Love You, Aunt Pat

Sunshine was a truly remarkable and kind person. Driving me to school at Bayshore every morning, always armed with a smile, her upbeat personality and about $3.00 for gas money. Sometimes, as a kid I wondered why she didn’t just fill the tank so we didn’t have to stop for gas twice in a week (the school was only a couple miles away). Now I look back with a smile and inspired by a women that didn’t have a whole lot, but would be the first to give you whatever she had. Love you Sunshine.
