Obituary of Margaret Teresa Brand

A phenomenal mother, devoted wife, marvelous friend, and connoisseur of Costco hot dogs always ready to dance, Margaret Teresa Brand - formerly Manigrasso, neè Russo, lost a valiant fight against cancer on Wednesday June 28 2023.

Margaret grew up in Brooklyn NY (where she was born Oct 23, 1937) and Long Branch NJ before moving to Atlantic Highlands where she found the love of her life, marrying her high school sweetheart John Manigrasso on March 14, 1957. A proud wife who quickly became a busy mother with 5 children born between January 1, 1960 and November 22, 1969, Margaret was the glue that continued to hold her family together after her husband John lost his battle with lung cancer near Christmas of 1980. 

Margaret is survived by her five favorite children and their spouses - Michael and Joan Manigrasso, Laura Manigrasso and Regan Fong, Kathleen and Kenneth Noland, Margaret and Joseph Thornton & John Jr. and Shannon Manigrasso. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Margaret’s wake will be held on Sunday July 2, 2-5pm, at Posten-McGinley Funeral Home at 59 East Lincoln, Atlantic Highlands NJ. Her funeral will be held Monday July 3, 9:30am, at The Church of Saint Catherine Laboure, Bray Avenue, Middletown NJ.
